Hello. I hope someone will see this msg. Does anyone know if it is possible for soil saturation to affect the interior area of a slab-on-grade foundation to the point where you start to feel a raised, hard bump through the carpet, as if something is pushing up through the concrete? How is this possible? What specifically is happening, in relation to the settling, that causes the bumps?

I have noticed a few of these in our main living area [we have not removed the carpet though], and our foundation is still going through a differential settlement process due to hurricane rains from two yrs. ago.

Thank you!
